i was looking back at my old knitting posts to check on a thing and like yeah i really did just rocket right up the knitting skill tree over the course of a few months. no wonder i'm convinced i can knit literally anything i've spent ten minutes reading and watching videos about.
my personal knitting trajectory is that i learned to knit at age 8, stopped knitting at age 16 or so, and did not knit anything more complex than circular knit legwarmers with mild shaping at that time (so i could make rectangles and tubes and slightly widen the tubes). (ok i also did one lace scarf for about four inches but it was very bad.) then i got back into it at the end of college, and my projects were lace cowl > multiple stranded colorwork hats > socks on dpns > elaborately cabled sweater (which i finished only the back and half a sleeve of, admittedly, and am now picking up again) > most of a beaded lace crescent shawl in the span of, like, five months. and then a bunch of other shit after that! i literally can just learn to knit whatever the fuck i want, that's just uncontroversially true. what a fantastic hobby
#truly an all-time activity for me who loves to learn new things and then be instantly great at them#one of my many super likeable qualities.#knitting#box opener#this was a great sweater concept im jazzed that i get to pick it up again bc i think nowadays i might not start it#bc ive convinced myself that garments are too much knitting for my bad wrists#but it's worsted! so it might be literally the same total stitch count as socks#and also. i can knit whatever the fuck i want#to be clear i think 'this thing is too advanced for [the rhetorical knitter] to knit it' is kind of a fake idea in full generality#there are specific patterns that might need a lot of scaffolding to start with bc of what they assume about your knowledge base#or that are like poorly written or w/e#and there are skills where it might be *easier* to learn to do x in a less complex form/not simultaneously with other things#but the best thing to knit is the one you are jazzed about trying to knit. imo.#YOU can knit whatever the fuck you want‚ in all likelihood#true beginners i might advice to start with something that's square for a while. like several inches of being square. but it doesn't have t#be square the whole time! if you're ready to introduce new ideas!

Tips To Stay Safe During Garden DIY
Many people love to work in the garden. In recent times it has been found that people started working in the garden more due to its health benefits. Therefore, we decided it’s probably worthwhile to know some valuable safety tips that it’s good to keep in mind, to help you use your garden ladders and others safely.
1. Be Careful With Power Tools
If you're using equipment like chainsaws, circular saws, grinders, and other garden machinery, there’s an honest chance that you are simply conscious of using it. But don’t be – overconfident as this might cause an accident! Regardless of how well you know your equipment, the most effective way to stay safe is to always treat them like you’re using them for the very first time and provide them the respect they deserve. Move them deliberately, and don’t leave them on an unstable surface, regardless of how briefly.
Most importantly – and here’s where most people stumble – don’t make any change to any power machinery unless you're sure it’s off and all moving parts have stopped.
2. Use Proper Working Kit
Doctors and hospitals are often found to serve reasonably as a standard consequence of machine misadventures. While treating the facility tool carefully is the primary step to avoiding these, it’s equally important to make sure that you’re properly dressed for the work, with the proper kit and clothing. Meaning regardless of how warm it's outside, don’t cut the lawn wearing flip flops, or soft sandals! Sturdy shoes are safest, like steel-capped boots.
Hard gloves are another essential piece of kit when working outdoors, even though there aren’t power tools involved. You’ll also need an honest set of safety glasses or goggles if you’re using strimmers or similar tools, as it’s not unprecedented for stones and other objects to fly up into the operator’s face.
3. Make Sure Your Workspace Is Clear
This is another good general rule for most DIY, but especially true for garden work. You should always need to have a clear space around you to ensure your safety and that of everyone else. This is especially important in the garden, given its usual role as a family space where pets and young children are prone to running and playing. If it is necessary, it is better to lock yourself out there temporarily, especially if you’re using particularly heavy equipment like ride-on mowers.
4. Check Your Ladder Is Safe Before Using
This is something we are used to saying a lot, but there’s a decent reason for that – it’s because it’s worth repeating! Regardless of how many times you’ve used your ladder before, you ought to always provide it another quick check before you employ it, just in case you identify something that may possibly make it unsafe.
Contrary to what many folks believe, falls from short heights can be even as dangerous as falls from longer ones. Before you step foot thereon, ensure that it’s sturdy and stable and that it can take your weight. You’ll get to move it to a special working surface if necessary, like a tough patio instead of soft ground. (That’s where our garden ladders are available handy, by the way – they use the third leg to stabilize themselves on soft ground like grass or mud, providing extra safety value and peace of mind.
Choose the Correct Ladder For Your Work
One of our top safety tips for working in the garden is to always make sure you’ve got the right equipment. You wouldn’t plan to mow the lawn wearing roller skates, so similarly, don’t attempt to jury rig just any ladder for the task at hand. It’s quite common for people to rest extension ladders against trees – or worse, hedges – while they’re performing on them, but ideally, these should be used on more plain or rough surfaces where they can be fully secured. Again, this is the place where garden ladders are worth their weight in gold! Similarly, ensure to keep your hips inside the guardrails at all times. A major proportion of injuries are right down to people leaning out too far away from their ladders!
If you need a good quality ladder, here is EQUAL which serves a wide variety of ladders at different heights such as multipurpose ladders, household ladders, telescopic ladders, scaffolding ladders, etc.

Let me freak out about Murder Drones for a sec.
I am IN LOVE with this show! I have to be honest, I'm kinda slow so it took me a bit to understand what the show was about. BUT I LOVED IT ANYWAY!! The show feels like a middle school girls fantasy, but in such a fun and amazing way! Aaa! That final fight still has a grip on me, highly recommend!
I had an idea for a peice like this even before I watched the show (I kept seeing N and thought he was like a muderous winter tour guide or something,) but watching it just cemented it in my brain. I also just love N design; something about a top heavy, blue with warm orange/yellow design makes my brain happy.
I wanted this to be compistion heavy but... clearly it isn't. (I desperately need to work on my compstion) you can thank the scaffolding in the back for that one. Luckily the values and light saved it. Speaking of values I definitely went too dark, maybe it works for that creepy/low quality camera feel (???).
I definitely had a fun time rendering all the metal, the urge to use subsurface scattering lighting was strong, Yet I'm stronger! Speaking of rendering, the rendering in this show is god send. I know nothing about 3-d and rendering and stuff like that, but I can't imagine having so many strong direct light sources is eas. Especially with such shiny characters who move and shift so much.

regarding book!dandelion’s much discussed misogyny one thing i find insanely amusing is how the gamer bro fanbase perceives it.
because to me, it’s like, supposed to be one of his weaknesses. it’s one of the ways in which he is unhinged that continuously gets him in trouble. yeah, there’s a joke here and there. but like. dudu thinks he can get away in dandelion’s form? nah man, the angry woman with the frying pan knocks you out, worst decision you made that day. he’s afraid he’ll get murdered if they go to toussaint. he survives the quest to end up on a scaffold because he couldn’t stop fucking around.
yet, when you see the dude bro “book stans’” reaction to the queer netflix reveal there are very personal grievances when they say “you made the womanizer gay!!!”. we know he’s not gay. he’s bi. he fucks more than twice the amount. but the fact that “the womanizer” would as much as look at a man somehow hurts these people in their masculinity, which reveals they think this part of him to be the cool, masculine part.
and it’s really funny to me, because i have this idea of sapkowski using bard characters (he does it in the hussite trilogy as well) to have some, dare i say it, subversive masculinities. because dandelion is very un-masculine in the context of the story. not only does he challenge the temerian knights and others by directly insulting their idea of masculinity and often ridicules the hierarchic structures he himself benefits from despite having fled the connected responsibilities. he’s not a fighter, he’s a poet, he’s not ‘hot’, he is pretty. he’s a coward, he is vain, he is bitchy, he is emotionally intelligent. he laments the gruesomeness of war that is nothing like the heroic masculine stories told about it. he is kind of the mum of the hansa. in short, he is very ‘feminine’, except for his womanizing and his misogynist moments (and the drinking). the parts of him that are, as i said, the most pathetic of his character. and yet, readers who are caught up in the structures of hegemonic masculinities perceive it as a way to consolidate his place in the hierarchy. in a way, his assholery is his redeeming quality in the masculine order. or at least that is what i believe, because why else would they have such an extreme reaction. if dandelion loses his one hegemonic masculine trait of putting himself above women by also sleeping with men, then he is not a man.
[i am aware the concept of masculinities has fluctuated massively in history, which is the point of hegemonic masculinities, and that medieval courtly masculinities had their own ‘feminized’ moments, with monks complaining about the knightly fashion making them look like vain women, but this is a fantasy saga that the reader perceives from contemporary standards, and the masculinities presented are very warrior-centered]
plus, i imagine it complicates his friendship with geralt. because they are bro bros, going to the BROthel together, sharing beds, kissing each other on the cheek for goodbye. if one of these bros is interested in dick, it makes emotional intimacy among men ~weird~. it makes the dude bros go “a bro cant have anything”. but bro, bro, you could have everything. you could even have a bite of dandelion.

Watching the Mighty Nein conversations and seeing people post about Watch Machina I really am struck by how much like...generally well-meaning misunderstandings or accidentally insensitive statements or even just two valid but conflicting viewpoints come up in conversation from the very start, and how utterly vital this is to the characters feeling so real and having such clear motivations.
Molly accidentally says the worst things possible to Nott every time, because while he needs to believe he is not the person who was put in a grave and who Cree knew, just a different person who happens to share the same body (that he's endeavored to make his own), she needs to believe that despite being in a different body she is still able to be Veth Brenatto, a halfling woman from Felderwin. Fjord has designed his entire current persona about being someone who commands respect after a powerless childhood in which he was bullied and abused and an adulthood in which he was horribly, even lethally, betrayed, and so the others aren't wrong about his tusks (and, notably, he's even able to listen) but it's part of that precarious scaffolding, along with the accent; and people like Caleb and Yasha in turn (as many people have said in the notes) need to know that someone else can move forward from their past, even though they can't yet.
With the conversation about Kima, Vex - victim of racism over her mixed heritage and having experienced an early adulthood as a homeless wanderer who was undoubtedly treated with suspicion simply for being new in town too many times to count - needs Keyleth to have more than just "vibes"; Keyleth, on the other hand, is terrified she lacks leadership qualities not just of intuition ("vibes") but also expressing that to others. Much later on, Scanlan's outburst in A Bard's Lament is both very real - Scanlan feels (and might even be right) that if he'd never met Vox Machina, he'd be less powerful but he also wouldn't have died twice, and he wouldn't have to care so much about others and he might not even know about Kaylie - but in expressing that he blames the rest of Vox Machina for caring back and making that attempt to disconnect impossible.
These are all in my opinion either absolutely necessary groundwork for characters who develop satisfyingly over the course of a campaign, and remarkably efficient too: each of these serves to set up both the characters as individuals (even if we as the audience did not know the entire story at the time, which, in many of these cases, we didn't) and their relationships with each other.
And I think, and I would apologize for making so many posts about where Campaign 3 fails where the other two succeed but I find it personally helpful to do so and I'm not going to stop until it no longer is, that this is perhaps its greatest failure point: there was no space given, in the narrative or by much of the fandom, to work through well-intentioned insensitivity or disagreement. Especially with the examples of the Mighty Nein, this doesn't even need to rise to the level of outright conflict! Molly and Nott's conversation is at most prickly, and the conversation with Fjord is even supportive, and Vox Machina had, notably, much more time with each other than the Mighty Nein had had at the time of both those conversations and could go much harder without destroying a nascent social connection.
And, of course, the Mighty Nein were also not without more outright conflict - we've already seen Fjord (life ruined and nearly destroyed entirely by someone deviating from the plan in a high pressure situation and betraying the group) threaten Caleb (pretty much solely motivated by the pursuit of arcane knowledge and Nott at this point, history of extensive abuse) and Nott (family saved because she went off-book), and Bowlgate (Beau's value of personal freedom vs. Caleb's suspicion of strangers' intentions, both informed by their pasts) is coming up fast. And clearly, it is not uniquely a campaign 3 issue that the fandom decided that one person was right and one was wrong instead of understanding that these are people with two separate perspectives - that stretches back to Vox Machina (the initial source of much Keyleth hate was that conversation about Kima), and the cast is still joking about Bowlgate - but I am struck by how there was pretty much no one who both loves Bells Hells and embraces this sort of misunderstanding. I still recall the seething hatred towards Orym's mother Alma for an utterly innocent statement re: the Ashari avoiding any Ruidusborn children even though she is personally entirely unaware of Imogen's past and the end state of the world ends up being...no more Ruidusborn ever.
We've seen what happens when everyone takes those misunderstandings and instead of trying to dig into them with empathy for both sides (Vax re: the argument about Kima) or talking it over after the fact even in veiled terms (the team conversation with Nott immediately in episode 13, and the oblique conversation between Fjord and Caleb in 14 and several much later ones and more explicit ones re: Swordgate) tries to just skip past them and maintain an illusion of peace. Ironically, instead of having heroic assholes who can deal with the fallout of the problems they cause and who learn to take unintentional insensitivity in good faith, you simply end up with regular old assholes, who can't, and who as a result treat most outsiders with disdain.

Do you have any tips to get better at writing? Your word usage is so amazing. the way u describe things are so utterly unique, it’s so mesmerizing. You motivated me to write more but I want to reach your level of skill
i'll be honest, i personally find my writing to be rather subpar and lacking in the necessary technical skill to justify its overly stylised prose and excessive wordiness, so i wouldn't necessarily recommend taking inspiration from me. that being said, i'm my own worst critic and i am very flattered that my writing resonates so strongly with you. i'm not a professional writer, so i can't offer much in the way of advice beyond what has, through trial and error and years of practice, worked for me.
something that people often point out to me when complimenting my writing is that i have a rather lyrical style, which i can see. i try to pay attention to the way that words flow together - which words best complement one another - and choose how to structure and order sentences based on that. i do have a fairly extensive vocabulary thanks to reading a lot from a young age, but i also frequently make use of the thesaurus (my most dearly beloved). obviously, trying to beef up your writing by simply using more obscure words that you found in a book will come across as clumsy, and detract from your writing rather than enhancing it, but if you learn how to stitch words together in a way that has a pleasing ear or mouthfeel, you can mitigate that somewhat, and even make it part of your repertoire of skills.
speaking of vocabulary, the more expansive it becomes, the more doors it opens to you in terms of what you can write and how you can write it. this is pretty straightforward common sense stuff, but you'd be surprised by how effective is if you actually start paying attention to it. likewise with grammar. not everything you write needs to sound like it was written for a sophisticated publication in a well-respected 19th century newsletter, but if you read widely and often, you'll find that your understanding of just how many ways the scaffolding of phrasing and punctuation can be used to support incredible linguistic architecture there are grows immensely, and start seeing opportunities to make all these little adjustments and additions and substitutions that enhance your work's overall presentation.
with regard to the above, i'd also recommend considering how you want your audience to feel. you can alter a reader's entire undercurrent of sensational experience simply by changing a few words, according to whatever emotional (or even more primal) response you intend to provoke. you can also mix your palettes, and flirt with crossing the wires (horror tinged with eroticism and vice versa, fantasy with a dose of down-to-earth pragmatism, tragicomedy, and so on). the more you experiment, the more your confidence will grow, and your skills begin to take shape, from crude instruments to refined, specialised tools.
one word of caution i'd offer you, based on my own shortcomings, is that my style of writing does very much neglect realistic-sounding dialogue. the way that i write and the way human beings talk to one another clashes without much grace or redemptive quality (at least in my opinion), and i have yet to find a satisfactory solution to this. i'll let you know if i ever figure it out.

Paul and Mike McCartney and The Casket
Jan-Feb 1974. While awaiting the dissolution of the Beatles partnership, Paul, along with Denny Laine and Linda, is helping Mike to write and record an album under Mike's artist's name: McGear.
The album is many things: an audition for possible new members of Wings, a distraction for Paul, a family reunion. Paul and Linda are staying with Jim and Angie McCartney, who live the strict life of pensioners despite having a teen in the house (Angie's daughter Ruth). There is tension.
Paul and Linda are picking up Mike in the mornings. In the car on the way to Strawberry Studio, near Manchester (yes, named after the song), the brothers write songs together.
One day, they get a visitor: Roger McGough, a poet. Roger is a friend of Mike's from The Scaffold days, and the husband of Thelma Monaghan, née Pickles: John Lennon's ex-girlfriend, who also briefly dated Paul in 1962.
Roger McGough stopped in at Strawberry to watch the sessions in progress, and he brought with him a new poem, The Casket. The title refers to a jewelry box, rather than a coffin, and describes the contents of such a box. [...] Paul was taken with the song's imagery and set it to music, giving it a simple but attractive melody [...]. The melody tested Mike's vocal range at times, but Paul joined him with a harmony vocal at the final lines. "And there's Our Kid and I, going back to being young men, 15-, 16-, 17-year-old lads, after Mum died, singing harmonies. On The Casket in the end, where he and I sing together in harmony—it's very simple, and it's just the two brothers. There are some great feelings there." (The McCartney Legacy Vol 2, Sinclair & Kozinn)

Dominic Lucero Performance Costume Rankings
For my fellow enthusiasts, I pulled screenshots from YouTube of Dominic's various performances, music videos, and other stuff he's been in to talk about his costumes for them. Shout out to @chaosfairy18 and @thatoneandlonelyemo2005 for appreciating him with me and to Paula Abdul for choosing the majority of these outfits! The quality isn't great on a lot of the images but I'll put links to the videos!
"Straight Up" Part One Outfit (All Performances)
The first part of every performance of "Straight Up" that I've seen has the dancers start out in black trench coats and black fedoras before they take off the coats and hats for the second part to reveal a different outfit. As such, I'm putting them all in one category because they all look the same. I pulled the screenshot from the "Straight Up" segment of this performance here. It's a classic look with 40's noir vibes, which I appreciate. A solid 10/10!
"Straight Up" Part Two Outfit (Arsenio Hall)
This one is just a simple black tank top and blue jeans but he makes it work! It gets bonus points for being an outfit I personally wear on my lazy days lol. 12/10!
"Straight Up Part Two Outfit (Canada)
The first mesh shirt on the list but not the last! This is also the only time he wears something under one of the mesh shirts, which makes it stand out a bit (at least to me). 15/10!
"Seal Our Fate" with Gloria Estefan (Unofficial Version)
There are two versions of the "Seal Our Fate" music video on YouTube and this is the one I prefer because you see more of the dancers. I think this is supposed to be a stylized construction worker? I don't know but the yellow thing around his waist is a vibe and I like the sleeveless shirt-fingerless glove combo. 22/10!
"The Way That You Love Me" (Arsenio Hall)
It's cropped. It's fringed. It's fabulous. These screenshots don't really do it justice because the way it moves is beautiful! I really love this one. 28/10!
"Knocked Out" (Probably 1990?)
This is cropped, fringed, and mesh so it's definitely a fave! Bonus points for the green robe because 1. green is one of my favorite colors and 2. the hood did not want to stay on and kept almost coming off which I found hilarious. 37/10!
"Cold Hearted" (Music Video)
I always feel awkward admitting that this is my favorite Paula Abdul music video because of how suggestive the choreography gets toward the end. I have nothing against that part but compared to a lot of the other choreo in the video, it doesn't really register with me. I just love the other stuff too much. Anyway, he's got a hoodie with a mesh tank top underneath, which is new! The fingerless gloves and the knee pads make sense because he hangs off the scaffolding and slides around on his knees a bit so bonus points for safety. The vibe is really just impeccable and it gets bonus points because it's my favorite music video. 45/10!
"Cold Hearted" Segment (MTV Awards, I think)
It's a mesh crop top with nothing under it or anything covering it so it gets a lot of points from me! I'm also one hundred percent biased because I love this performance a lot lol. His hair also looks great! 52/10!
"Opposites Attract" (Children's Royal Variety Show, 1990)
Look at this! Look at him! He's so fancy! I don't even have the words to describe how much I fucking love this outfit! Bonus points for the microphone he's not actually using and keeps forgetting to lip-sync into lol. 100/10!
Bonus Outfits!
Faith/Ballerina (1990, Time Stamp 1:25:27)
So I haven't actually watched the entire movie, just the part I was told had Dominic but I'm pretty sure it's set in the 80s and this outfit definitely screams 80s to me! You might need to rewind to the right place but the dancing is a lot of fun and I love the song that plays!
Roundhouse Episode One (You Can't Fire Your Family)
It's a very basic, 90s outfit but I like it! I think it's my bias toward the color green showing again!
Bumlets!!!
This outfit needs no introduction! It is officially my favorite of all of his outfits because Bumlets is my baby and I love him!
#newsies#newsies 1992#dominic lucero#bumlets#bumlets newsies#i would've finished this sooner but i kept getting distracted lol#i'm very ashamed to admit how often i watch these videos#it's very very often#it might actually be a problem

Warm Hands (Episode 1 and 2)

On a past expedition, my butlers and I encountered an intelligent angel. The direction from which that angel flew away. Go to the tower in the northwest to investigate. And on the way to the expedition. After a while on the cold mountain road... we decided to take a short rest to give the horses a rest.
(On the Way to the Ancient Tower)
I was just looking for a change of pace. I was taking a walk with Haures on a snowy road a short distance away from the carriage.
Haures: Fuu... As expected, it gets cold around here... Lord, are you cold?
You: I'm fine.
Haures: I see... If you are cold, please let me know right away.
Then an icy cold gust of wind blew from the front.
You: Ugh...
Haures: Oh, Lord. Please bend over a little on the spot...
When I said that, Haures stood in front of me.... He made sure the wind didn't hit me.
Haures: Ugh...ugh... It's a cold wind...
You: Haures, are you okay?
Haures: Oh, I'm fine. Huh... The wind seems to have stopped.
You: Thank you for protecting me.
Haures: No... It's my role to protect the Lord.
Haures: Ugh... ugh...
You: Haures, you're shaking...
Haures: Well, uh... this is... Huh... I'm sorry... I've been trying to be patient... I'm not a cold weather person by nature...
You: Is that so?
Haures: I am sorry. This is not a good look.
You: You okay, Haures?
Haures: I'm okay. If I move my body this much, I will be fine. I was just thinking of training with a sword... I'll warm up a little until it's time to leave.
Saying this, Haures took up his sword and began to swing it.
-A few minutes later-
Haures: Hah...! Hah...!
He said it was to warm up his body, but... As he struck out, Haures' expression was one of seriousness.
You: You're very serious.
Haures: Yes. This expedition is in a cold region. The terrain and temperatures are completely different from the norm. So... I'm anticipating a battle here and checking my movements.
You: I see.
Haures: For example, even the way you step into the ground... You have to change it depending on the condition of the scaffold. Hard soil, soft soil, or snow... If you don't learn it with your body, you won't be able to fight when the time comes.
You: You've got a lot on your mind.
Haures: Yes... I don't want to overlook something and regret it.
Haures: ...I'm sorry. I am sure this kind of talk is boring to the Lord.
You: That's not true.
Haures: Heh, thank you very much. Well then, Lord. I'll continue my training a little longer.
-After a while-
Haures: Fuu... I knew I would get my feet caught in the snow when cutting in. As usual, I put weight on my feet... my feet sink more and more into the snow. I guess I should avoid fighting in places where it's snowing. But it will be colder near the tower... there might be more snow on the ground than here. Hmm... What if the scaffolding is all snow?
Haures is seriously contemplating the situation as he swings his head back and forth. The way he devotes himself to training while worrying... he is very dedicated.
Haures: ...Okay. With this way of swinging the sword, I can handle it.
As he continued his training, Haures' face grew more and more confident. When I see Haures... I also feel relieved for some reason. His mere presence gives a sense of security to those around him. This must be his quality as a leader. Is this so-called "charisma"? Usually, all the butlers.... I now understand why all the butlers are united around Haures.
Haures: Haaa...
Then suddenly a cold wind blew.... I involuntarily shrank back.
Haures: Lord...!? Are you okay? It looks like the wind has picked up... Would you like to return to the carriage? It'll probably be less cold than being outside.
You: I'm fine.
Haures: Eh...? Lord, but...
You: I'd like to watch Haures train.
Haures: My training? That's... a great honor... If this situation continues, the Lord may catch a cold.
Haures: Hmm... Oh, that's right... If that's the case, Lord... Could you please wait here for a moment? I'll be right back.
You: Uh, yeah...
With that, Haures ran to the carriage. Then he came back with some kind of luggage.
Haures: Sorry to keep you waiting, Lord.
You: Haures, what's that?
Haures: It's a thick blanket. I loaded it up just in case we had to go on an expedition to a cold region. Here you go, Lord. Please use this one.
I took the blanket from Haures and draped it over my shoulders.
You: Thank you. | It's so warm...
Haures: I think this will keep the cold out. Oh, and also... you can also try this scarf.
You: Scarf?
Haures: The Lord's neck looked cold.... I brought my scarf along, too. Would you like to use this one as well, if you like?
You: Are you sure...?
Haures: Of course. Please use it.
You: Thank you, Haures.
Haures: I'm honored to be of service to you, Lord. Well, Lord. I will put the scarf around your neck.
With that, Haures put a scarf around my neck. The scarf has a faint scent of Haures. It's a very calming scent.
Haures: Um, Lord... May I have a word?
You: Eh?
Then Haures stared at me in the face. Haures' face is close to mine, and I can't help but tense up.
You: W-What's wrong?
Haures: Your cheeks have turned a little red. It must be because of this cold weather. Are you okay?
You: I think I'll be fine... | There's nothing wrong though...
Haures: I-I see. But so much redness... I am worried. It would be terrible if you got chilblains. Hmm... I'll have to warm it up somehow... But there's nothing like that anywhere...
Haures: Ah, that's right! Ah, my Lord... Just for a moment... Excuse me.
Haures then reached out his hand.... he gently touched my cheek.
You: H-Haures!?
Haures: How do you like my hands? I think it's warm...
Haures' hand on my cheek was indeed warm.
You: Oh, it's warm...
Haures: I was physically active earlier.... I'm also warming up a lot. Um... If it bothers you, please tell me right away. I will take my hand off immediately...
You: Rather, thank you. | It's not a nuisance.
Haures: That's good to hear. Even so... your cheeks have really gotten cold. I'm sorry. I wish I'd realized this sooner...
You: Haures didn't do anything wrong at all.
Haures: I'm sorry...
Haures has an apologetic look on his face.
Haures: I should have been more careful and prepared a variety of warm clothing. I am disqualified as a butler.
You: Don't blame yourself so much... | It's okay, Haures.
???: Hey, Lord. Where are you?
You: !? | T-This voice...!
Boschi: Oh, there you are. Where have you been... hmm?
Haures: B-Boschi...!
Boschi: Oi oi, Haures. You are indeed too close to the Lord, aren't you? Putting your hand on their cheek.
Haures: Th-This... No, this is different...! Because the Lord's cheeks were red from this cold... I got worried and ended up...
You: Yes, that's right, Boschi!
Haures: Oh, Lord...please excuse me.
Haures then gently removed his hand from my cheek.
Boschi: I see. Because you got worried.... It's just that... Even if you are worried... I wonder if it's appropriate for a butler to put his hand on someone's cheek〜
Haures: S-Sorry. I may have been a little excited to be alone with the Lord.
Boschi: You don't have to apologize to me. You didn't do anything bad to the Lord, did you?
Haures: N-No, I would never do that.
You: I'd rather have Haures do it for me...
Boschi: I see... Then I think that's fine.
Haures: Boschi...
Boschi: Well, I was lucky to see something interesting. That earnest Haures... How dare he do something like that to his Lord...
Haures: D-Don't tease me... Don't tell the other butlers.
Boschi: I guess it depends on... your attitude. Well then, Lord. I had some business to attend to, but I'll call on you later.
You: Uh, yeah... | Understood.
Boschi: See you, Haures.
Thud... Thud... Thud...
You: He's gone.
Haures: I-I never thought that Boschi would see me.... I-I'm sorry, Lord. I got carried away and touched your cheek earlier.
You: Don't worry about it.
Haures: Hah.... I suddenly felt a sense of embarrassment.... I'm just a butler... What am I really doing...?
Haures' cheeks were flushed red and he looked embarrassed. When I saw that expression... Combined with the contrast with his usual dignified self, he seemed very endearing.
You: Haures, your cheeks are red.
Haures: Eh...?
You: Shall I warm you up with my hands?
Haures: Ah, my Lord....!?
Haures: P-Please don't make fun of me....
As he said that... Haures smiled and blushed again.
Haures: Now, my Lord. It's time to go back to where everyone is. I'll walk ahead of you. Please watch your step.
You: Yes. | Thank you, Haures.
Haures: No, no. Let's go.
Then I started walking behind Haures. With his scarf wrapped around my neck...
